How We Work

We sell the estate. Then we finish the house.

Northwest Estate Cleanouts is an estate-sale company first. We help families, heirs, and realtors in Salem, Lyons, Keizer, and nearby Marion and Polk County price and sell what’s worth selling — furniture, household goods, tools, and garage contents — instead of treating a full house like a junk pile.

If not everything sells, that’s expected. We donate or recycle what we can, then haul the leftovers so you’re not left with a half-cleared house. Locally owned, upfront plan, clear price before we start.

Estate Sales + Leftover Cleanup

Estate sale first. Cleanup after.

Most of our work is the sale. Cleanup is what happens if items don’t sell — in Salem, Keizer, Lyons, and nearby Marion & Polk County.

If you’re settling an estate, prepping a house to sell, or clearing a property that’s still full of stuff, you shouldn’t have to juggle a sale company and a junk crew. We run the estate sale, then donate, recycle, or haul what remains — so the house is actually done when we leave.

Estate sales are the main job. Cleanup, donation, and hauling finish whatever the sale doesn’t move.

Estate Sales

We sort, price, advertise, and run the sale. That’s most of the work — getting value out of the house before anything is hauled away.

Answers

Common questions about estate sales & cleanouts

Do you mostly do estate sales or cleanouts?

Mostly estate sales. We price and sell what’s worth selling. If items don’t sell, we donate, recycle, or haul the rest so the house is actually finished. Cleanout-only jobs are still available when a sale isn’t the right fit.

What if everything doesn’t sell?

That’s expected. After the sale we quote leftover cleanup separately — donation, recycling, and hauling — so you’re not stuck with a half-cleared house.

How much does an estate cleanout cost in Salem, Oregon?

Most residential cleanouts and leftover hauling jobs range from about $150–$400 depending on volume and item type. Full leftover cleanouts can be higher if a lot remains after the sale. We always give a free, no-obligation estimate before we start — no hidden fees.

Do you offer estate cleanouts in Lyons, Oregon?

Yes. We serve Lyons on our nearby Marion County routes. Send photos and your ZIP code and we’ll confirm availability and timing.

What’s the difference between an estate cleanout and junk removal?

Junk removal is usually a single load or a few items. An estate cleanout is a broader property clear-out — often whole rooms or an entire home — including sorting, donation, recycling, and haul-away. We do both.

Do you offer same-day service?

Often yes in the Salem–Keizer area when our route has space. Lyons and other nearby cities are scheduled by route.

What happens to items after you haul them away?

Usable furniture and household goods can be donated to local nonprofits. We recycle whenever possible and only landfill what can’t be reused. About 70% of what we collect is diverted from landfills when donation and recycling options are available.

Can you remove appliances like refrigerators and washers?

Yes. We remove furniture, appliances, yard debris, and full-property contents as long as it fits safely in our truck.

Do you help with hoarding cleanouts?

Yes. We approach sensitive cleanouts with discretion and respect, work at your pace, and handle donation, recycling, and disposal from start to finish.

Do you serve Keizer and West Salem too?

Yes. Keizer, West Salem, South Salem, and surrounding neighborhoods are part of our core service area.

Can you pick up donations only?

Yes. If items are usable, we can schedule donation pickup so you don’t have to haul them yourself.

How do I get a free estimate?
